Aman Sahu shifted across 10 jails in 2.5 years

Notably, gangster Aman Sahu, who was lodged in Raipur jail, had been transferred between different prisons ten times over the past three years. Despite this, his reign of terror showed no signs of ending. Even from jail, he continued to threaten businessmen across various districts and extort money.

Aman Sahu had written a petition to the Chief Justice of the High Court, claiming that a conspiracy was being hatched to kill him. He alleged that police officers, coal mafias, and politicians were involved in the plot and that his repeated transfers between prisons were part of this conspiracy.

Aman Sahu had escaped from Barkagaon Police custody

Notably, on September 24, 2019, Aman Sahu was taken into custody by Hazaribagh Police from Ramgarh Jail. At the time, no case was registered against him, and he was released on bail. He was detained for questioning in connection with the murder of a JMM leader in the Urimari police station area of Hazaribagh.
