Daltonganj, Dec 5: Principal District and Sessions Judge Niraj Kumar Srivastava, who is the chairman of the district legal services authority (DLSA), today called upon all the stakeholders to make maximum utilisation of the National Lok Adalat, due on December 9, to resolve their disputes.

The December 9 National Lok Adalat is the fourth and last of this year 2023.

The third National Lok Adalat held in September had seen a huge disposal of 14,231 cases here.

Now, all eyes are on if this mark of 14,000 plus disposal of cases is exceeded this fourth National Lok Adalat or is just equalised this National Lok Adalat following a month-long holiday in the civil courts across the state, including Daltonganj.

On the target any fixed for this upcoming National Lok Adalat, the principal district and sessions judge said, “Our entire fleet of the officers is working too hard. We believe we do quite well this time.”

DLSA Secretary Arpit Srivastav told this correspondent, “We have 13 benches in all. Out of the 13 benches, 10 will be of the regular courts, 1 of the permanent Lok Adalat, 1 of the consumer forum and 1 of the executive.”

The DLSA secretary said, “We have no target but we have a mission to exceed the number of the disposal of cases that we had in the previous National Lok Adalat held in September.”
