Ranchi, March 28: The/Nudge Indian Administrative Fellowship (IAF), a joint initiative by The/Nudge Institute and the Government of Jharkhand, is making waves in key state departments. Designed to enhance governance through policy reform, technology, and project management, the fellowship is already driving significant progress.
Finance Department Secretary Prashant Kumar stated that the initiative will strengthen the government’s administrative capacity, bringing efficiency, innovation, and accountability to governance. He emphasized that the fellows, each with over 20 years of private sector experience, are playing a crucial role in policy reform and the effective implementation of government schemes.

In the first two months, the fellows collaborated with departmental teams to analyze processes, review data, and identify key areas for improvement. Moving forward, they will focus on accelerating the progress of various state projects.
Bridging Innovation, Policy, and Governance
Launched on February 3, 2025, at Project Bhawan, Ranchi, the fellowship aims to:

This 18-month leadership programme is designed to bring private sector expertise into government operations, bridging the gap between technological innovation, policy-making, and governance. Fellows work alongside senior officials to integrate data-driven decision-making, digital solutions, and innovative technologies into administrative processes.
The/Nudge Institute, known for its work in social impact and development, sees this initiative as a transformative step in governance. The IAF team has confirmed that in the coming weeks, each fellow will present a detailed work plan to departmental secretaries to fast-track the next phase of their projects.
