His arrival at the airport in Sri Lanka on Friday was marked by a warm reception despite the rain, with six senior ministers — including Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath, Health Minister Nalinda Jayatissa, Labour Minister Anil Jayantha, Fisheries Minister Ramalingam Chandrasekar, Women and Child Affairs Minister Saroja Savithri Paulraj, and Science and Technology Minister Chrishantha Abeysena — present at the airport.

Modi’s visit marks his return to Sri Lanka after nearly five years and highlights the growing emphasis on strengthening regional development partnerships and promoting cultural exchanges.
