Jamshedpur, April 8: Jamshedpur FC’s inspiring ISL 2024-25 journey came to a valiant end at Kolkata’s Salt Lake Stadium on Monday night, as they fell 2-0 to Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the second leg of the semi-final, exiting 3-2 on aggregate.

After securing a thrilling 2-1 victory in the first leg at The Furnace, Jamshedpur entered the tie knowing a draw would be enough to book their maiden ISL final berth. Head coach Khalid Jamil set up his side with tactical discipline, aiming to frustrate the opposition and strike on the counter.

Then, in stoppage time, heartbreak struck. Apuia pounced with a clinical finish to seal the victory and complete a dramatic turnaround for the home side.

From a fifth-place league finish to knocking out NorthEast United and stunning the Shield winners in the semi-final’s first leg, the Men of Steel showcased resilience, unity, and heart.
