Ramgarh, 9 April: Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Central Command, visited the Punjab Regimental Centre at Ramgarh Cantonment to review ongoing training activities and administrative operations.
On arrival, the Army Commander was received by Major General Vikas Bhardwaj, VSM, General Officer Commanding Jharkhand & Bihar Sub Area, along with Brigadier Sajesh Babu PG, Commandant of the Punjab Regimental Centre.
During his visit, Lieutenant General Sengupta was briefed on the Centre’s training modules, welfare initiatives, and infrastructure developments. He interacted with Agniveers currently undergoing training and lauded the Centre’s commitment to upholding the highest military discipline and training excellence standards.
The Army Commander also commended the dedication and professionalism of the instructional staff and support personnel who play a crucial role in shaping future soldiers.
In his address to the troops, he underscored the importance of physical fitness, mental resilience, and an unwavering commitment to the core values of the Indian Army. He encouraged the Agniveers to honour and carry forward the proud legacy of the Punjab Regiment—one of the oldest and most decorated regiments in the Indian Army.
The visit reaffirmed the Army’s continued focus on enhancing operational readiness through robust training programmes and a strong emphasis on soldier welfare.
