PINAKI MAJUMDAR

Jamshedpur, April 26: The state is bracing for a spell of unstable weather over the next few days, with the meteorological department forecasting thunderstorms, gusty winds, and even hailstorms at isolated places.

April 26: Hot and humid conditions are expected to prevail in isolated pockets of the southern and northeastern regions. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 Kmph) may also occur in these areas.

April 27: Weather activity is likely to intensify, with the possibility of hailstorms and gusty winds (40-50 Kmph) in northeastern and adjoining central parts of the state. Thunderstorms with gusty winds are also expected at isolated places in the southern, central, and northwestern regions.

April 28: The entire state, except for the northwestern region, may experience thunderstorms with stronger gusts of wind reaching speeds of 50-60 Kmph. The northwestern region may also witness similar conditions, albeit with slightly lower wind speeds (40-50 Kmph).

April 29: Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (40-50 Kmph) are likely to affect isolated places across the state.

The weather pattern is attributed to a trough currently extending from Sikkim to the southwest Bangladesh coast across Sub-Himalayan West Bengal at an altitude of 1.5 Km above mean sea level.

Residents are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions, especially in areas prone to thunderstorms and strong winds.
