Jamshedpur, April 26: D.B.M.S. English School celebrated its Annual Prize Night for the academic year 2024-25. The evening was graced by Udit Agrawal, Editor and Publisher of Uditvani, Jharkhand, as the chief guest.

The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, followed by the academic procession of rank holders. Sudha Dutta, Primary Level Coordinator, led the Special Awardees from KG-I to Std-III, while Sourav Mukherjee, Middle School Coordinator, guided the rankers of Std-IV to Std-VII. Principal Rajani Shekhar and Vice Principal P.K. Sahu accompanied the Special Awardees from Std-IV to Std-VII.

The welcome address and a prayer dance set the tone for the evening. Following a formal introduction, a sapling was presented to the chief guest, symbolizing growth and new beginnings. Principal Rajani Shekhar then presented the school’s annual report, highlighting achievements in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities.

Special Awards and Subject Proficiency Recognitions

The much-awaited award distribution began soon after. The primary section awards, recognizing excellence in various categories such as Outstanding Student, Perseverance, Academic Excellence, and “A Student for Others”, were conferred by senior coordinators and members of the managing committee.

Special awards were presented to notable achievers including Aranya Das for excelling against all odds, and Aizah Ali for securing the highest marks in Std-II. Other Best Student awardees included Pronil Bose (Std-III), Sanchay Singh Panoo (Std-IV), Aadrik Ganguly (Std-V), Manraj Singh Bindra (Std-VI), and Ayush Ranjan (Std-VII).

Subject proficiency awards were also given, notably to Rohan Srivastava for Mathematics, Shreyansh Chanda and Aarnab Bajaj for Sanskrit, Trisha Ghosh for Bengali, and Arjun Srijith Balamurugan for Tamil.

Keshav Bansal and Udit Agarwal jointly received the Most Disciplined Student award at the Middle School Level, while Mohammad Huzaifa Abdullah was recognized for perseverance. Param Khetan received special talent recognition for his outstanding abilities at a young age.

Trophies for the Best Maintained Class and Best Disciplined Class were awarded to Std-I B and Std-I E, respectively.

Udit Agrawal, in his address, lauded the efforts of the students and staff. As a mark of appreciation, a memento was presented to him by B. Chandrasekhar, Lalitha Chandrasekhar, and Rajani Shekhar.

The evening concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Zoya Nawaz Khan, followed by the school anthem and the academic procession marking the formal end to a celebration of achievement and excellence.
