Pupils from both the Primary and Secondary sections engaged enthusiastically in the drill. The simulation included the sounding of air raid alarms, during which students were guided to take cover under desks, near structural corners, and in other designated safe zones across the school campus. As part of the blackout protocol, students practised switching off all lights immediately to simulate conditions that would prevent detection during an emergency.

Staff and Students Work in Sync

Teachers actively participated in the drill, offering guidance and reassurance throughout the exercise. The seamless coordination between staff and students demonstrated the school’s commitment to emergency preparedness and adherence to national safety protocols.

Preparedness as a Life Skill

“Today’s drill is more than just a routine exercise; it’s a vital step towards fostering awareness and responsibility among young citizens,” said principal R.K. Jha. “Building these habits early instils a sense of discipline and understanding of national security that stays with them for life.”

The initiative reflects a growing emphasis on civil defence education in schools across the country, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively in times of crisis.
