Jamshedpur, May 13: A disturbing case has emerged from Hotel Al Dorado in the Aambagan area of Sakchi, Jamshedpur, where a young woman was found hanging from a ceiling fan under suspicious circumstances.

The incident, which occurred on Monday, has sparked intense public interest and a full-scale police investigation.

According to initial reports, the scene appeared deliberately manipulated, leaving investigators with more questions than answers.

Early findings revealed that two men and two women checked into the hotel but strategically booked separate rooms to avoid suspicion. The men shared one room, while the women took another.

Sources claim a man named Pankaj invited the young woman, a resident of Azad Basti, to the hotel. She arrived with her friend. After allegedly receiving a call from her boyfriend, the woman’s friend left her alone and moved to the men’s room, where a party reportedly followed.

Inconsistencies and Suspected Foul Play

Several inconsistencies have cast doubt on the series of events. If the girl received a phone call, what prompted her friend to switch rooms? Why did the party begin without her? If she was present, why did no one check on her well-being during the night?

The conflicting statements from the men and the woman’s friend have only fueled further suspicion.

As speculation mounts, police are probing whether the woman’s death was a suicide or a result of foul play.

Some sources suggest she may have been lured under false pretences and subjected to mistreatment, possibly leading to her death—either by her own hand or through violent means.

Investigators are closely examining mobile call records and chat histories to piece together a clearer picture.

Police Detain Five; Awaiting Post-Mortem Report

Five individuals have been detained in connection with the case. Authorities are also reviewing hotel policies and documents as part of their inquiry.

City DSP Sunil Chaudhary said, “Five people have been taken into custody. We are examining hotel documentation and investigating all aspects of the case. The truth will emerge soon.”

The incident has once again highlighted lax oversight in hotels across Sakchi’s Aambagan area, where rooms are often booked without adequate verification.

Police maintain that definitive answers will depend on the post-mortem report, which is awaited. Until then, the case remains shrouded in mystery.
