70 collegium resolutions pending: Supreme Court again raises issue of Centre delaying judges’ appointments

THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK

 

New Delhi, May 26: The Supreme Court Collegium, led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) BR Gavai, has recommended the elevation of three High Court judges to the Supreme Court.

The names recommended by the Collegium are:

  • Justice N.V. Anjaria, currently serving as the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court.
    Parent High Court: Gujarat
  • Justice Vijay Bishnoi, Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court.
    Parent High Court: Rajasthan
  • Justice Atul S. Chandurkar, Judge of the Bombay High Court.

The recommendations will now be forwarded to the Central Government for approval and formal appointment.
