DCs of 20 Jharkhand districts reshuffled; Ajaynath Jha appointed Bokaro DC

Ranchi, May 26: In a major administrative reshuffle, the Jharkhand government has transferred the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of 20 districts. Additionally, the Deputy Development Commissioners (DDCs) of two districts have been promoted to serve as DCs of their respective districts.

Deputy Commissioners who have not been assigned new postings have been directed to report to the Personnel Department. The official notification was issued by the Personnel Department on Monday.

Here is the list of appointments:

  1. Ajaynath Jha – Previously Tribal Welfare Commissioner → Appointed as DC, Bokaro
  2. Faiz Ak Ahmed – Previously Director, Horticulture → Appointed as DC, Ramgarh
  3. Aditya Ranjan – Previously Director, Information Technology → Appointed as DC, Dhanbad
  4. Ramniwas Yadav – Previously Director, Higher Education → Appointed as DC, Giridih
  5. R. Ronita – Previously Director, Space Application → Appointed as DC, Khunti
  6. Naman Priyesh Lakra – Previously DC, Giridih → Transferred as DC, Deoghar
  7. Anjali Yadav – Previously Director, Tourism → Appointed as DC, Godda
  8. Karan Satyarthi – Previously DC, Gumla → Transferred as DC, Jamshedpur (East Singhbhum)
  9. Chandan Kumar – Previously DC, Ramgarh → Transferred as DC, Chaibasa (West Singhbhum)
  10. Kanchan Singh – Previously CEO, JSLPS → Appointed as DC, Simdega
  11. Nitish Kumar Singh – Previously Director, Audit → Appointed as DC, Saraikela
  12. Prerna Dixit – Previously MD, JIADA → Appointed as DC, Gumla
  13. Shashi Prakash Singh – Previously Director, Primary Education → Appointed as DC, Hazaribagh
  14. Kumar Tarachand – Previously Director, Agriculture → Appointed as DC, Lohardaga
  15. Kirti Shri – Previously MD, Jharcraft → Appointed as DC, Chatra
  16. Abhijit Sinha – Previously DDC, Dumka → Promoted as DC, Dumka
  17. Rituraj – Previously DDC, Koderma → Promoted as DC, Koderma
  18. Sameera S. – Previously Director, Child Protection → Appointed as DC, Palamu
  19. Ravi Anand – Previously Joint Secretary, Personnel → Appointed as DC, Jamtara
  20. Dinesh Yadav – (Details not specified in the official release)

This reshuffle is part of the state’s routine administrative restructuring aimed at improving governance and ensuring efficient district-level management.
