Ranchi, June 18: All schools in Ranchi district will remain closed on June 19 following a heavy rain alert issued by the Meteorological Department.

Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri has issued the order, prioritizing the safety of students in view of the forecast.

This order is effective for all classes from KG to 12.

The closure will apply to all types of schools, including government schools, private (non-government) schools, aided schools, and minority institutions.

The India Meteorological Department has placed Ranchi under the red zone, indicating the possibility of very heavy rainfall. In light of this warning, the district administration has decided to suspend all school activities for the day.

Strict action will be taken against any school found violating the directive. All teachers, principals, and education officials have been instructed to ensure full compliance with the order.
