Mahmood, who signed a two-year deal with the PCB in April 2023 as an assistant coach across all formats, now steps into the lead role for Test cricket.

The board highlighted his strong coaching background, particularly in the English county circuit, where he played a key role in Surrey’s County Championship victories.
