Jamshedpur, Aug 11: The Jharkhand Information and Library Association (JILA), Ranchi, in association with the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD), Government of Jharkhand, will organize the National Librarians’ Day 2025-cum-National Seminar (JILASEM’25) on the theme “Library: The Tool for Development” tomorrow, August 12, at SIRD Auditorium No. 2, Academic Campus (South Campus), Kaju Bagan, Ratu Road in Ranchi.

Registration for participants will be open from 9 am and will continue till 10.30 am.
The event marks the birth anniversary of Padmashree Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, revered as the father of Library and Information Science and the library movement in India.

The seminar aims to highlight the pivotal role of libraries in societal and educational development in the modern age.
Librarians, information professionals, students, researchers, teachers, and other stakeholders from across the country are expected to attend.
