Jamshedpur, August 13: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Ghatshila-based Sona Devi University organised a spirited Har Ghar Tiranga rally today to spread the message of patriotism and unity.

The rally, led by the NSS unit, saw active participation from faculty members and NSS volunteers, including several students.

The procession was taken out in the adopted village of Kitadih, where participants interacted with locals to instil a sense of national pride.

NSS members also visited the Kitadih Anganwadi Centre, distributing tricolour flags to children and raising patriotic slogans alongside them.

The event was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor J.P. Mishra and Registrar Gulab Singh Azad by hoisting the national flag.

In his address, JP Mishra emphasised, “The tricolour is a symbol of our nation’s pride and dignity. Together, we will continue this tradition every year to make the campaign a grand success.”

The initiative aligns with the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, launched under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in 2022, aimed at encouraging citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes between August 9 and August 15.

The campaign seeks to deepen the emotional connection with the national flag, which represents the collective pride, unity, and spirit of the nation.

Since its inception, it has evolved into a people’s movement, fostering a culture of patriotism and national pride across India.
