Ranchi, September 2: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to 975 newly appointed postgraduate trained teachers, assistant professors and laboratory assistants at the Appointment Letter Distribution-cum-Medha Samman Ceremony held at the Jharkhand Ministry.
On the occasion, he also launched the Chief Minister Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar Yojana and the Jharkhand e-Shiksha Mahotsav 2025, reaffirming his government’s commitment to strengthening the education system.
“Education Will Take Jharkhand to New Heights”
The Chief Minister said his government is determined to give Jharkhand a distinct identity in the field of education.

“We are working continuously to make government schools as resource-rich and modern as private ones. The positive results encourage us to take education to new heights,” he said.
Netarhat School to Open Doors for Girls
In a major announcement, CM Soren declared that Netarhat Residential School will now be co-educational, with girls being enrolled for the first time. He also revealed plans to open three new schools on the lines of Netarhat, which is now affiliated with CBSE and offering English-medium education.
Race for Admission in Schools of Excellence
Highlighting the growing trust in government institutions, Soren said that the Chief Minister’s Schools of Excellence are witnessing high demand for admissions.
“Children from private schools are now enrolling in our Schools of Excellence — proof that government schools can match the standards of private institutions,” he added.
Incentives and Scholarships for Students
The Chief Minister underlined several initiatives to support students:
- Board toppers received laptops, smartphones, and an honourarium of ₹3 lakh, while JAC board toppers were also given scooters.
- 100% scholarships are being offered for higher education abroad.
- Under the Guruji Credit Card Scheme, students can avail up to ₹15 lakh in education loans without collateral.
- Various scholarship amounts have been increased to ease the financial burden on students.
Teachers and Schools Honoured
At the ceremony, appointment letters were distributed symbolically to the new recruits:
- 33 postgraduate trained teachers
- 909 assistant professors (Maths and Science)
- 33 laboratory assistants
Additionally, students and schools excelling in board examinations and competitive exams were honoured, including those trained under the Akanksha Coaching Scheme.
Collective Effort for a Stronger Jharkhand
Soren called on citizens to contribute to the state’s development:
Every individual, in their own field, has a role to play in building a stronger, leading Jharkhand. Together, we can shape a brighter future.”
The event was attended by ministers, senior officials, and dignitaries, including Minister Radhakrishna Kishore, Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji, Additional Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, and others.
