DPS girls’ team leaves for CBSE National Yogasana Championship

Dhanbad, Sept 10: A 15-member girls’ team from Dhanbad Public School (DPS) has left for Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, to participate in the All India CBSE National Yogasana Championship.

School coach Shashikant Pandey said that the students will compete in the under-14, under-17, and under-19 categories. As the CBSE zonal champions, the DPS team has earned qualification for the national championship.

Pandey added that DPS, recognized as one of the best squads in the event, was given the honor of performing at the inauguration ceremony. The team received high praise from chief guest Dr. Manjit Singh, Director of CBSE Sports, and Padma Bhushan awardee Swamy Bharat Bhushan.

  • Under-14: Bhavya Shant, Vishnu Priya, Anusri Sen, Arushi Rajvi, Dakshita Srivastava
  • Under-17: Shrishti Ranjan, Ananya Agrawal, Andriza Paul, Rani Pandit, Kumkum Kumari
  • Under-19: Riya Rawat, Titli Koley, Raj Bandani Mistri, Pratiksha Barnbal, Yashaswi Rani

Wishing the team success, DPS Principal Sharda Mahajan encouraged the participants to give their best performance and bring laurels to the institution.
