Ranchi, Sept 10: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, along with his wife, MLA Kalpana Soren, paid heartfelt tribute to the late former MLA and prominent leader of the Jharkhand movement, Durga Soren, on his birth anniversary.
The leaders visited the Durga Soren Memorial in Namkum, where they offered floral tributes to his statue and bowed in respect.

Addressing the media, CM Hemant Soren said, “As every year, we have gathered here on the birth anniversary of Durga Soren to pay our respects. He was a strong pillar of the separate Jharkhand state movement, and his role and contributions can never be forgotten.”


On the same day, the Chief Minister and MLA Kalpana Soren also paid tribute to Param Vir Chakra awardee and martyr Abdul Hamid on his martyrdom day, offering flowers at his statue located at Kantatoli Chowk, Ranchi.

These tributes highlight the government’s recognition of the contributions of Jharkhand’s stalwarts and martyrs in shaping the state’s history.
