Dhanbad, Dec 16: Senior lawyer of Dhanbad and former Bar Council co-chairman Radheyshyam Goswamy has been appointed AJSU central committee general secretary.

Party supremo Sudhesh Mahto has issued a letter to appoint Radheyshyam Goswamy and other party office-bearers.

Advocate Goswamy is one of the oldest members of the AJSU right from the organisation’s foundation and participated in separate Jharkhand statehood agitation. He had contested assembly elections on a party ticket on the Jharia seat of Dhanbad in 2014 and 2019.

“The party supremo (Sudesh Mahto) has imposed trust on me by giving me the important responsibility of central committee general secretary. So I will try my best to come up as his expectation by expanding the state party base, ” said Goswamy.

Advocate Goswamy, who became president of the Dhanbad Bar Association twice, said that AJSU would ensure the people of Jharkhand honest ‘Raj’ in the state.

AJSU Dhanbad district president Mantu Mahto, rural president Haldhar Mahto, Sadanand Mahto, Sarju Mahto, Girdhari Mahto congratulated advocate Goswamy and party supremo Sudesh Mahto for appointing a grassroots-level worker general secretary.
