Hangzhou, Sept 13: India’s hopes of reaching the Women’s Asia Cup 2025 final now rest on the outcome of the Korea–China clash after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Japan in their Super 4s match at Hangzhou on Saturday.
With China already securing a place in the final after three straight wins, the second spot is between India and Korea.
If Korea fail to beat China or the match ends level, India will progress to face China in Sunday’s final. But a two-goal win for Korea would push India out of contention.

Against Japan, India struck early through Beauty Dung Dung in the 7th minute, but Shiho Kobayakawa equalised for the Japanese just before the end in the 58th minute. The result ended Japan’s hopes of making the final.
India had earlier beaten Korea 4-2 in their Super 4s opener before going down 4-2 to China.
The tournament winner will secure a direct berth for next year’s World Cup.
