Jamshedpur, Sept 18: Jugsalai Nagar Parishad has launched a new citizen grievance redressal facility. From September 17, residents can scan a QR code to directly register cleanliness-related complaints under the motto “Your Complaint, Our Action – Together for a Cleaner Jugsalai.” The move aims to strengthen public participation in keeping the city clean and healthy.
The initiative is part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 campaign, being observed under Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0 from September 17 to October 2, which will conclude on Swachh Bharat Diwas.
The campaign focuses on five key areas—transformation of Community Toilet Units (CTUs), cleanliness of public spaces, health and welfare camps for sanitation workers, eco-friendly “Clean Green Utsav,” and innovative advocacy programs such as waste-to-art exhibitions and RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) initiatives.

At a preparatory meeting held at the Jugsalai Nagar Parishad office today, Executive Officer Rajendra Kumar briefed participants about the calendar of events and urged them to contribute actively. “This is a community-driven movement. With collective effort, we can make Jugsalai cleaner and healthier,” he said.
Planned activities during the fortnight include plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns with Swachhata ambassadors, pledge-taking in schools and offices, beautification of markets, parks, and playgrounds, awareness sessions on composting and source segregation, and competitions like painting, essay, and slogan writing.
Sanitation workers will remain central to the campaign, with dedicated health camps, PPE kit distribution, training on hygiene and safety, and linkage to social welfare schemes. Awareness events, Swachhata runs, marathons, and human chains will further promote the message of cleanliness.
On September 25, the campaign will feature “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath – Shramdaan,” where citizens will devote an hour to community cleaning.

The drive will formally begin tomorrow with a plantation program at Shiv Ghat. Jugsalai Nagar Parishad has appealed to all citizens, social organizations, RWAs, NGOs, SHGs, students, and volunteers to participate actively.
Officials present at today’s meeting included Sneha Shri, Junior Engineer Tanuj Jain, Shakeel Ahmad Ansari, Deepak Sinku, Gyaneshwar Prasad, Rajeev Ranjan Singh, Amrita Sakshi, sanitation supervisors, and staff members.
