Ranchi, Sept 26: Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FCIT), Usha Martin University hosted DevFest Ranchi 2025, organised by Google Developer Group (GDG) Ranchi.
The event explored the latest innovations in Artificial intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing and Community Development. Around 140 students participated in the program.
A hands-on session was delivered by Samyak Jain, a renowned expert in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He is also recognized as a Google Developer Expert (GDE) in AI/ML.

Jain brought deep insights into the rapidly evolving landscape of AI. The session commenced with an engaging introduction by the host, followed by Jain’s presentation which combined real-world AI scenarios with the capabilities and risks.
Live coding snippets, AI model demonstrations, and real-time simulations helped the attendees grasp complex concepts with clarity. The event also featured a QR-code-based registration process, simplifying access and promoting wider outreach through online engagement.
The event was graced by Vice Chancellor Prof. Madhulika Kaushik, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Milind, Registrar Dr. Shiv Pratap Verma, Dean Academics Prof. B.N. Sinha, and Head of FCIT Dr. Naghma Ashraf.
The collaboration between Usha Martin University and GDG Ranchi proved to be a successful platform for nurturing digital talent and raising awareness about the confluence of AI.
