Dhanbad, Sept 30: The Durga Puja celebration at Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro on Monday evening drew large crowds of guardians and well-wishers, who were captivated by a series of vibrant cultural presentations. Among them, the Garba dance performed by Class II students stood out as the highlight of the evening.

The programme commenced with a soulful rendition of Durga Vandana by Nursery students, setting a devotional tone. This was followed by a melodious recitation of Durga Amritvani by Class V students, which further enriched the spiritual atmosphere.

Students also staged a symbolic performance depicting Goddess Durga’s victory over the demon, embodying the triumph of good over evil.

The energetic and graceful Garba dance by Class II students won high praise from the audience. Their lively steps and colourful costumes infused festive cheer across the assembly.

Adding to the celebrations, students of Classes IV and V crafted masks and torans of Goddess Durga, while Classes II and III prepared Nav Durga wall hangings, showcasing their creativity.

Addressing the gathering, DPS Principal Dr. A. S. Gangwar extended festive greetings and commended the students’ talent. “This celebration is deeply rooted in India’s cultural heritage and is observed with unmatched enthusiasm across the nation. Durga Puja transcends religious boundaries, reflecting a sense of unity and belonging within communities,” he remarked.
