Adani Power’s Sanjeev Shekhar wins Inclusive Leadership Champion Award from Greentech Foundation

 

Ranchi, Oct 7: Sanjeev Shekhar, Head of Corporate Affairs at Adani Power Jharkhand, has received the Inclusive Leadership Champion Award at the Greentech Corporate Leadership Awards 2025 held in New Delhi. The recognition marks a proud milestone for Jharkhand, as Shekhar becomes the first individual from the state to receive this prestigious leadership honour.

The award was presented jointly by Rajeev K. Dubey, Chief Adviser, Greentech Foundation and former CMD of Canara Bank; Major General Sanjay Christopher Meston (Retd.); and K. Sharan, Chief Executive Officer of Greentech Foundation. The ceremony was part of the Greentech Leadership Summit & Awards 2025, held over two days at Radisson Blu Plaza, New Delhi.

Recognising Leadership and Inclusion in Corporate India

The Greentech Corporate Leadership Awards recognise professionals and organisations demonstrating excellence in leadership, sustainability, and inclusive business practices. Shekhar was honoured for his impactful work in corporate governance, stakeholder engagement, and community development at Adani Power Jharkhand, where he leads corporate affairs, government relations, and outreach initiatives for the Godda Power Project.

Several other Adani Group officials were also recognised at the event, including Sandeep Gautam, Head – Commercial & BD, Mining Tech Consultancy Services (MTCS); Hemant Sahu; and Amit Kanujia from Adani Cement.

A Multifaceted Professional and Author

With over 31 years of diverse professional experience, Shekhar has built an accomplished career spanning corporate affairs, communications, human resources, and public relations. Before joining Adani Power, he held leadership roles with Essar Power, Reliance Industries, and Vaishnavi Communications.

A former journalist with Hindustan Times and IBN-7, Shekhar has interviewed prominent political figures and covered major industrial developments. Beyond the corporate world, he is a motivational speaker and author of three acclaimed books – Beyond News, Deadlock, and Ride Above the Clouds. His literary work has earned him the Rabindranath Tagore Literary Award and the Sparsh Lifetime Achievement Award, reflecting his versatility across creative and professional domains.
