Ranchi, October 14: The Faculty of Legal Studies and its Legal Aid Centre, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) of Usha Martin University, hosted a road safety awareness campaign titled “Helmet On. Speed Gone. Life On!” on Tuesday at its campus.

The event aimed to educate students and staff about the dangers of rash driving, over-speeding, triple riding, and the critical importance of wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers.

The program featured a keynote address by Rishabh Anand, Founder of RISE UP, who delivered an insightful talk on the importance of road safety and the need for strict adherence to traffic rules to prevent accidents and save lives.

His address was followed by a series of interactive activities, including a short film screening, a road safety quiz, and a poster-making competition, all designed to engage participants and encourage creative expression on the theme of safe driving.

A signature campaign invited participants to pledge responsible road behavior, followed by an oath ceremony affirming their promise to drive safely. The event ended with a thought-provoking skit that highlighted the risks of reckless driving and the need for caution on the road.

The program was graced by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Madhulika Kaushik, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Milind, Registrar Dr. Shiv Pratap Verma, and Campus Director, Dr. Anil Kumar Mishra.

The campaign effectively conveyed the message of safe, lawful, and responsible driving, inspiring the university community to adopt safer road practices.
