Ranchi, Dec 19: A K Sahay, a well-known Bird photographer from Jharkhand recently visited several bird-rich areas in the lower Himalayas in pursuit of some beautiful birds that are not seen in the plains of India. Places like Laptanchar, Rongtong in the North-East and Sattal and Bhimtal have yielded decent results. We present here some of the images clicked by Sahay:

Some of these birds are sometime seen in Indian plains also but they are predominantly present in hills and mountains up to altitudes up to about 7000 feet or thereabout.
