Nilamber Pitamber University clears 14-year backlog, issues 3,371 degrees

Daltonganj, October 30: Incredible but true. The Nilamber Pitamber University (NPU) has, on the applications of the candidates, readied the Degrees of the year 2011, meaning thereby the candidates either slept over their Degrees or the university just forgot about them.

“This is not the single case. There are seekers of Degrees of the years 2012, 2014 and so on and so forth,” said the Vice Chancellor of Nilamber Pitamber University, Dr Prof Dinesh Kumar Singh.

He said, “I wonder as to what the university did in all these years, which came into existence in 2009. The applicants too, are no less responsible for it. They ought to have sought it in time.”

There is a protocol for Degree distribution, which is after 6 months of the publication of results. Here it’s years and years like this 2011 one which is a 14-year affair.

Over 3,000 Degrees Prepared, Few Collected

The VC had one more big surprise when he said, “Our university Controller of Examinations Dr Ajit Seth and his hard working team which worked tirelessly even in holidays till late at night and on one occasion worked till 6 in the morning when there was a gazetted holiday, prepared 3,371 Degrees between October 18 to 29 but strange enough a little over 700 have bothered to collect their respective Degrees.”

“Where are the 2,600 applicants who have not turned up to collect their Degrees?”, asked the VC.

“Some fake student activists raise slogans against us, little knowing that their vested interests would not be served any more in the university. These fake student activists mislead and misinform general students. There is nothing as bad as this,” commented the VC.

VC Praises Team’s Effort Amid Festive Season

He said, “When people were having post Diwali festivities or busy with the rituals of Chhath Puja, my team and I of the examination department were working on the preparation of the Degrees, and I believe I have signed 755 Degrees at my official residence on holidays.”

Sources said the Nilamber Pitamber University for days together looked like a Degree manufacturing factory.

Asked about such a mass production of Degrees and that too in such terrible heat and haste leaves room for discrepancies, to which the VC said, “We all are very cautious and vigilant. There were some minor mismatches which were corrected in time.”

Backlog Cleared Amid Rising Demand from JET Aspirants

Nilamber Pitamber University was under overweight of the Degrees, but now it has cleared an enormous backlog of it.

“State’s JET exam spurred the pass-outs to crowd for Degrees in the university. On Wednesday, October 29, my examination department officials and staff gave away Degrees till 9 o’clock at night. But there are some elements who try to burn the pockets of the bona fide seekers of Degrees. Their ‘jeb katrai’ of unsuspecting students will never be allowed,” the VC said.
