Jamshedpur, Nov 11: Polling for the Ghatshila assembly by-election began at 7 am on Tuesday amid tight security and extensive monitoring arrangements.

According to the District Election Officer, a voter turnout of 34.32 % was recorded till 11 am, indicating a steady start to the polling process.

To ensure free, fair, and transparent elections, the East Singhbhum district administration has equipped 300 polling booths with live webcasting facilities.

Through this system, real-time surveillance is being carried out directly from the district control room, enabling officials to monitor crowd patterns, polling staff conduct, and any suspicious activity at ground level.
