Dhanbad, Nov 19: Dr Santvana Sharan from Ramgarh has been honoured with the prestigious FOGSI Sampoorna Shakti Award, a national recognition for her outstanding contribution to women’s healthcare.

First Doctor from Ramgarh to Receive FOGSI Sampoorna Shakti Award

The award was presented during the FOGSI Presidential Conference – STAR Sampoorna 2025, held at JW Marriott, Pune.
Dr Sharan, who serves as the convener of the IMA East Zone Mission Pink campaign, has earlier received several national awards under this initiative. She is now the first doctor from Ramgarh to receive the FOGSI Sampoorna Shakti Award, joining a select group of Jharkhand medical professionals who have earned this national honour.

Award Recognises Grassroots Work in Women’s Safety and Health

The National FOGSI Sampoorna Shakti Award is given to doctors working at the grassroots level, especially those handling sensitive cases such as sexual harassment, POCSO-related cases, and women’s health challenges with compassion, vigilance, and professional integrity.
