Jamshedpur, Nov 22: Communication through the Mango area of the city is all set to get further difficult at least for a month, since November 25, as the district administration has decided to impose certain restrictions for the Mango-Pardih road in view of the construction of the ongoing Mango flyover project.
Realignment of the vehicular traffic movement from Sakchi end towards Azadnagar and vice versa is aimed at ensuring smooth and hassle-free construction of the down ramp upto Hanuman temple on the Mango-Azadnagar road.
The multi-crore flyover project in Mango connecting Dimna road to Sakchi over the Subernarekha river is being constructed, aiming at smooth vehicular communication to the steel city through congested, densely-populated Mango.
The flyover is being constructed from the point of call centre Aegis Global on the Dimna road upto the Marine Drive point near Tata Steel’s water filtration plant at Sakchi over the Subernarekha.

As per the flyover plan, a down ramp will also be constructed from the flyover towards the Azadnagar on Mango-Pardih road. The ramp will stretch upto the Hanuman temple on the Mango-Pardih road.
Despite two road-bridges side by side over the Subernarekha, traffic snarls on the bridges and also on the Dimna road were regular, especially in the morning hours and also in the evening, causing immense difficulty to the commuters.
According to a press release issued by the district administration today, as the down ramp’s construction will begin shortly, there will be vehicular traffic restrictions on the Mango-Pardih road from November 25 till December 24.
As per the restrictions, communication of heavy vehicles will not be allowed to ply through the Mango-Pardih road during this one-month period from November 25. The movement of medium and lighter vehicles will be allowed to ply from the Hanuman temple point towards Mango Chowk from 6.00 am till 8.00 am, apparently to facilitate the school vans etc, to move towards Sakchi through the Mango Chowk in a one-way mode.
From 8.00 am till next 6.00 am morning, medium and lighter vehicles will be allowed to move in one-way mode through the Mango-Pardih road.

According to the press release, the medium or the lighter vehicles coming from the Pardih will have to take a turn through Road No. 15 near Sahara City to Dimna road to go towards Mango Chowk or further towards Sakchi.
While coming from Pardih, commuters may also take a route through Chepapul and Old Purulia road to reach Mango Chowk or ride further towards Sakchi.
