Jharkhand News: Two nabbed in Jamshedpur for illegal cough syrup trade

Jamshedpur, Dec 9: In a joint operation led by the Patamda DSP, Azadnagar police have arrested two individuals — including a minor — for allegedly smuggling banned cough syrup.

One of the accused has been identified as Imran Khan alias Vicky (25), a resident of Chepa Pul area. Police seized 27 bottles (2700 ml) of the prohibited substance from their possession.

The Patamda police, during a press briefing on Tuesday, said the arrests were made following specific inputs about illegal cough syrup trafficking near Murda Maidan. A special team was formed, which conducted a swift raid and apprehended both suspects on the spot.
