Jamshedpur, Dec 17: Jamshedpur police is probing into twin deaths, including a girl, following a love triangle that blossomed in the rural areas near Jamshedpur.

Significantly, those involved in the love triangle include two cops — one lady police chowkidar, Jyotika Hembram and Potka thana OC, Manoj Kumar Murmu.

The third person was Ganesh Makhi, the lover of Jyotika.

Though the incident of twin deaths, that of Jyotika and Ganesh, took place on December 14, the mystery behind the tragedy unfolded today after a video clip of Ganesh went viral.

According to the video, Ganesh was in a relationship with Jyotika for the past nine years. When Jyotika was selected for the post of police chowkidar recently, Ganesh objected as he was not in favour of allowing her to do any job.

But despite strong objections, Jyotika received the joining letter few days ago, causing a serious altercation to take place between the two over the issue.

In between, on December 14, Ganesh came to know Jyotika had developed a relationship with the Potka thana OC. Hence, he immediately went over to Jyotika and killed her with a knife.

Soon after, he made a video claiming to have murdered the girl, even showing the knife. He also declared in the video that he did not have much time, claiming he was going to kill himself.

The police had recovered the bodies of Jyotika and Ganesh on December 15 from Potka and have initiated the probe.

A call by The Jharkhand Story to the Potka thana OC, Manoj Kumar Murmu, evoked no response.

City SP Kumar Shivashish said this is an unfortunate thing to happen, adding that they are probing into the whole matter.
