NSS steps up outreach for mega blood donation camp at Sona Devi University

Jamshedpur, Dec 17: In an effort to ensure the success of the mega blood donation camp scheduled for December 22, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Sona Devi University has intensified its public awareness campaign across Ghatshila and adjoining areas.

NSS volunteers conducted an extensive outreach programme covering Mau Bhandar, Gurudwara Road, Dahigora, Circus Ground and the Sanskriti Parishad area.

Through direct interaction, slogan-raising and pamphlet distribution, they educated citizens about the importance of blood donation, dispelled common misconceptions with scientific facts, and appealed for active participation in the humanitarian cause.

Addressing the public, the faculty members underlined that blood donation is the highest form of human service, transcending caste, religion and social barriers, and often proves vital in saving lives during emergencies. Special emphasis was laid on encouraging youth and women to come forward and set an example of social responsibility.
