Jamshedpur, Dec 18: The Press Club of Jamshedpur and the District Public Relations Department, East Singhbhum, are organizing a media conference and awards ceremony on December 22 in Sakchi.
A press conference was held at the District Public Relations Department on Thursday to provide information about the program.
DPRO Panchanan Unrao, Press Club President Sanjeev Bhardwaj, General Secretary Vikas Srivastava, and Vice President Sumit Jha jointly shared the information during the press conference.

The speakers informed that the first session of the program will include a discussion on the topic “Protecting the Credibility of the Press Amidst Rising Misinformation.” Senior journalists from the state and experts on the subject will share their views.
Jharkhand Government Ministers Deepak Birua and Chamra Linda, District Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, SSP Piyush Pandey, and editors of newspapers and magazines will be present as chief guests at the awards ceremony.
Journalists will be honoured in three categories at the awards ceremony: senior journalists (above 60 years of age), families of deceased journalists, and currently working journalists, based on the selection of entries received.

On the occasion of its 18th anniversary, the Press Club had initiated awards in the names of three deceased senior journalists, which will continue. These include the Ganga Prasad Kaushal, Dhruv Narayan Singh “Neeraj,” and Radhe Shyam Agarwal Journalist Award. This award will be given to journalists in the respective categories based on their work.
Following its tradition, the Press Club will honour its partner organizations and individuals who have supported the club in its various programs.
