Jamshedpur, Jan 9: A special moment has arrived at the Tata Steel Zoological Park, as the people of Jamshedpur are being invited to help name two female tiger cubs born at the park on November 27, 2025.

The cubs are healthy and growing well under the constant care of the zoo’s veterinary and animal care team, officials said.

Cubs under round-the-clock care

The two female cubs are being raised in a protected environment and are under continuous CCTV surveillance to ensure their safety, comfort and healthy development. As per zoological norms, they will be introduced to the public display area after completing three months of age.

Public invited to suggest names

To mark the occasion, the zoo has launched a public participation initiative, inviting citizens to suggest meaningful and inspiring names for the cubs. The initiative is open to animal lovers, families, students and wildlife enthusiasts.

The last date for entries is January 13.

Names to be announced on January 16
A special selection committee will shortlist the most suitable entries, and the chosen names will be officially announced on January 16. Winners will be informed individually.

Attractive rewards for winners
