Cold wave to continue in parts of Jharkhand

Jamshedpur, Jan 19: Dry weather is set to prevail across Jharkhand over the next few days, with shallow fog or mist likely at isolated locations during the early morning hours, followed by mainly clear skies during the day, according to the latest weather forecast.

Meteorological conditions are expected to remain largely unchanged from January 19 to January 22, with no significant weather activity anticipated across the state. Weather officials said cold wave conditions would continue to prevail in isolated pockets of Jharkhand over the coming days.

Weather outlook remains unchanged

The outlook for January 23 and 24 also indicates shallow fog during early morning hours at isolated places. This is likely to be followed by largely clear skies and continued dry weather conditions across the region.

On the synoptic front, the induced cyclonic circulation that earlier lay over southwest Rajasthan has now shifted to central Rajasthan and its adjoining areas, extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level. Additionally, an upper-air cyclonic circulation continues to persist over northwest Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring regions at a similar altitude, though no major weather activity is expected over Jharkhand.
