Jharkhand Weather Update: Storms ease, pleasant conditions return to Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, April 9: After heavy rain and thunderstorms, the weather across Jharkhand turned pleasant on Thursday, bringing relief from the recent heat. However, the storm turned tragic as a youth died after a lightning strike near Dimna Lake.

Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds hit region

On Wednesday evening, Jamshedpur witnessed heavy rain, lightning, and strong winds (40–50 kmph) due to weather systems, including an east–west trough and a cyclonic circulation. Dark clouds and sharp showers brought down temperatures across the region.

Clear skies ahead, dry spell from April 10

By Thursday morning, conditions improved with clearer skies, cooler temperatures, and a refreshing breeze. The weather department forecasts a dry spell from April 10 to April 13, with stable conditions and no major disruptions expected.

Residents have been advised to stay cautious during sudden weather changes, especially during lightning-prone periods.
