Dhanbad, Dec. 26: Jharkhand’s Koderma, Godda and Deoghar Mahila Shakha of Marwari Yuva Manch (MYM) got a national award for outstanding social services at the Bikaner (Rajasthan) national convention.

Jharkhand State president of Marwari Yuva Manch (MYM) Arun Gupta, giving this information, said that Prerna Shakha president of Jhumri Tilaiya (Koderma) Shreya Kedia, was given the best women’s branch president in the country award.

Mahila Shakha of Mahagama (Godda) for best social service and Deoghar Mahila Shakha for holding Shravani Mela Shivir also got national award. “Three Mahila Shakha of Jharkhand got national awards,” he said.

The Marwari Yuva Manch Jharkhand president said that the primary mission of MYM is to serve people, and Jharkhand’s women’s wings came up to mark this para metre. State vice-president Vineeta Singhania and general secretary Sarthak Agrawal congratulated the award winners trio women wing of Jharkhand.

Prerna Shakha president Shreya Kedia, who has been discharging responsibility as president of the branch for the last two years, said she and her team have focused on implementing ‘The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao theme and helping low-income families get married to their daughters.

“Our branch also carries out a regular campaign for sanitation, against the use of polythene, fodder for cows, service to old age persons and other social, religious functions in the region,” Kedia said. She has been associated with Prerna Shakha for the last four years. “It is not a personal achievement but could be possible on contribution from all members,” she said.

Prerna Shakha vice-president Neha Hisariya, secretary Sarika Laddha, associate secretary Meena Hisariya, treasurer – Gunjan Agrawal, Vandana Agrawal, Anita Agrawal, Mini Hisariya, Mamta Bansal, Sheetal Poddar, Sweta Gutgutia, Dipa Gupta, Payal Pachisiya, Nitu Choudhary, Pragati Choudhari, Neha Bajaj, Jyoti Agrawal, Priti Gutgutiya, Suman Saraf, Kritika Modi, Kajal Gupta, Nitu Agrawal, Babita Kedia, Priti Kedia, Puja Singhania, Usha Sharma, Neha Jain, Sneh Agrawal, Priyanka Agrawal Nisha Sanghai, Nilam Pilaniya, Pinki Khetan, Aakriti Choudhary, Shailja Kedia, Shalu Choudhary congratulated the president for national award.
