New Delhi, May 5: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday appointed Union Home Minister Amit Shah as the central observer for West Bengal for the election of the party’s legislative leader.

Observers Appointed for Bengal and Assam

According to a party notification, Union Minister JP Nadda has been named the central observer for Assam for the same process. These appointments are part of the BJP’s internal procedure to oversee the selection of legislative party leaders in key states.

Co-Observers Also Named

The party also appointed Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini as co-observer for Assam, while Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has been made co-observer for West Bengal.

The move signals the BJP leadership’s focus on ensuring a structured and supervised process for choosing legislative party leaders in both states.
