Jharkhand gets 6 new IPS officers as Centre releases cadre allocation list

Ranchi, June 1: Jharkhand has been allotted six new Indian Police Service (IPS) officers following the release of the cadre allocation list for candidates selected through the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024.

The cadre allocation notification was issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Police-I Division) on June 1. The list, released by Sanjeev Kumar, Under Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, details the state cadre assignments of successful IPS candidates based on their rank, category and preferences.

Six Officers Allocated to Jharkhand Cadre

Of the six officers allotted to the Jharkhand cadre, two are from the state, while four belong to other states.

Boost for State Police Administration

Officials believe the induction of six new IPS officers will strengthen Jharkhand’s policing and administrative capabilities, particularly in maintaining law and order and improving police governance.

After completing their training and other formalities, the officers will be posted in various capacities across the state.

The fresh allotment is expected to provide additional leadership support to the Jharkhand Police and contribute to strengthening the state’s law enforcement framework.
