Jamshedpur, June 16: Passengers travelling through Tatanagar are likely to face disruptions over the next few days as railway infrastructure works and line blocks on key sections of the network are set to affect train operations.

The Puri–Anand Vihar Nilanchal Express, which normally operates via Tatanagar, will run on a diverted route on June 20 due to operational reasons.

According to railway officials, the train will bypass Amethi and Gauriganj stations and will instead be routed through Rae Bareli and Moradabad in both directions.

Several Trains Expected to Run Behind Schedule
In a separate development, a line block in the Kharagpur Division on June 21 is expected to impact the movement of several long-distance and passenger trains.

Railway authorities said the following trains are likely to depart behind schedule:
- Howrah–Mumbai Gitanjali Express
- Junagadh–Howrah Ispat Express
- Tatanagar–Kharagpur Express
The anticipated delays are expected to range from 70 minutes to nearly two hours, depending on operational conditions.
MEMU Service Cancelled
The railways have also cancelled the Chakulia–Tatanagar MEMU passenger service on June 21 due to the operational restrictions arising from the line block.
Officials said the cancellation has been necessitated to facilitate the smooth execution of the infrastructure work and ensure safety during the maintenance operations.
Passengers Advised to Check Train Status
Railway authorities have advised passengers to verify the latest running status of their trains before commencing their journeys.
Passengers can access real-time updates through railway enquiry services, mobile applications and official railway websites to avoid inconvenience.
The temporary disruptions are part of ongoing infrastructure and maintenance works aimed at improving operational efficiency and rail connectivity on the affected routes.
