Ranchi, June 17: The Jharkhand BJP has strongly condemned the alleged petrol bomb attack on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office in Nivaranpur, Ranchi, describing the incident as “cowardly, condemnable and unfortunate.” The party has demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible and called for a thorough investigation to uncover the alleged conspiracy behind the attack.

State BJP president Aditya Sahu, Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi, and other party leaders visited the RSS office to assess the situation and gather information about the incident.

BJP Raises Questions Over Law and Order

Aditya Sahu said the incident reflected a deteriorating law-and-order situation in Jharkhand and alleged that criminals were operating without fear of the administration.

Calling the attack a serious crime, Sahu said the targeting of an organisation associated with social service and nation-building was a matter of concern.

“If such an incident can occur in the state capital and at the office of a major social organisation, questions naturally arise about the safety and security of ordinary citizens,” he said.

‘Attack on Nationalist Values’

The BJP leader said the RSS has been engaged in nation-building, social harmony, service activities and value-based social work for decades.

According to Sahu, the attack was not merely directed at an institution but represented an attempt to target values associated with social service and national consciousness.

He urged society to stand united against such acts and said violence and intimidation have no place in a democratic system.

Demand for Arrests Within 24 Hours

Sahu demanded that the state government and police administration identify and arrest those involved in the incident within 24 hours.

He also called for strict legal action against the accused and sought a detailed investigation to expose the entire conspiracy behind the attack.

The BJP leader warned that the party could launch an agitation if prompt action is not taken.

Babulal Marandi Calls Incident Serious

Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi described the incident as “extremely serious and concerning” after visiting the RSS office in Nivaranpur.

Marandi said an attack on the office of an ideological organisation such as the RSS posed a significant challenge to law and order and required a comprehensive investigation.

He stressed the need for a fair and speedy probe to establish the facts and determine the motive behind the attack.

“Such incidents cannot be tolerated under any circumstances,” he said.

Opposition Leader Speaks to Top Officials

Marandi said he spoke with the Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC), Superintendent of Police (SP), and Director General of Police (DGP), urging them to ensure the immediate identification and arrest of the accused.

He also demanded the establishment of a permanent police outpost near the RSS office to strengthen security arrangements and prevent similar incidents in the future.

BJP Organisation Secretary Condemns Attack

BJP Organisation General Secretary Karmveer Singh also condemned the incident and demanded the immediate arrest of those involved.

He urged the administration to take effective steps to ensure that such incidents do not recur.

Authorities have not yet released detailed findings regarding the incident, and an investigation is underway.
