IIT (ISM) Dhanbad alumnus donates ₹65.5 lakh to Centenary Endowment

Dhanbad, September 8: Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad alumnus Santosh Chandra, a B.Tech. graduate in Petroleum Engineering from the 1988 batch, has contributed ₹65.5 lakh to the institute’s Centenary Endowment.

The contribution has been made in memory of his parents through the “Shri N Chandra & Smt. Jamuna Devi Centenary Scholarship Endowment Fund.”

The endowment will provide educational support to deserving students and promote academic excellence, helping young learners pursue higher education and realise their aspirations.

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad expressed gratitude to Chandra for his generous contribution and continued association with his alma mater. The institute said alumni contributions play an important role in strengthening institutional initiatives and creating a supportive ecosystem for students.
