Jamshedpur, October 6: Tata Steel has been adjudged the 1st Runner-Up in the Manufacturing–Corporate category at the 4th edition of the ICC Sustainability Excellence Awards & Symposium 2026, organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in New Delhi.
The recognition acknowledges Tata Steel’s sustained efforts to integrate sustainability into its operations and promote the productive use of industrial resources.
Tata Steel’s Industrial By-Products Management Division (IBMD) has played a key role in improving the efficient and productive utilisation of industrial by-products, supporting resource conservation and the company’s broader sustainability goals.
The award was received on behalf of Tata Steel by Chandra Prakash, Chief, CRM & Tubes (Sahibabad); Sitender Singh, Senior Manager, Sales (IBMD); and Govind Sharma, Senior Manager, Sales (IBMD).
Focus on Circularity and Sustainable Practices
The award highlights Tata Steel’s continued focus on responsible resource management, circularity and sustainable industrial practices.
Through initiatives aimed at converting industrial by-products into useful resources and promoting their productive applications, the company has been working to reduce waste while creating greater value from industrial processes.
The ICC Sustainability Excellence Awards recognise organisations demonstrating leadership in sustainability, responsible business practices and innovative approaches to addressing environmental and social challenges.
