Jharkhand: BBMKU Teachers Association’s newly elected body’s 1st meeting in January 1st week

Dhanbad, Dec 30: The first meeting of the newly elected Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University (BBMKU) Teachers Association will be held in the first week of January.

Giving this information, newly elected general secretary Dr Amulya Suman Beck said that the agenda of the meeting is being prepared. If all goes as per plan, the first meeting of the newly elected body will be held next week.

“We have already formed a WhatsApp group of elected office bearers to exchange views and will name the spokesperson of the Teachers Association in two to three days”, said Dr Beck.

Over the role of five vice presidents and five secretaries in the Association, the general secretary said that they would be a decisive force in every organisation decision. All decisions would be taken collectively in the interest of teachers.

“We are fixing the priority of works to be done as pending problems of teachers are galore. However, a new body would focus on all teacher’s work on routine”, said Dr Beck.

BBMKU was set up in 2017, and the first election of the Teachers Association was held in  2018.

The second election of the BBMKU Teachers Association concluded on December 20 in which president Dr DK Singh, general secretary Dr Amulya Suman Beck, secretary Dr Ashutosh Rahul Tirkey, Dr Binita Soreng, Dr Alisha Vandna Lakra, Dr Priyanjana Hansda and Dr David Murmu and treasurer Dr Ajit Narayan Das were elected unopposed.

Five vice presidents, Dr Avinash Kumar, Dr Sharmishtha Acharyya, Dr Anamika Kujur, Dr Kiroom Rashmi and Dr Rampravesh, were elected by ballot.
