Jharkhand News: Netarhat school alumni launch Village Library Initiative in memory of mathematician

THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK

 

Ranchi, Jan. 3: Netarhat Old Boys’ Association conceptualised a non-profit organisation, “NOBA GSR” under Global Social Responsibility committed to educational development and has inaugurated a new initiative to establish library setups in Bazardihva village in Kaimur district.

It is dedicated to the memory of the late Padma Shri Vashishth Narayan, a revered mathematician and proud alumni of Netarhat Vidyalaya (Vashishtha had joined Netarhat School in 1957).

The initiative aims to bring the gift of knowledge to rural communities and honour the legacy of Padma Shri Vashishth Narayan, whose contributions to the field of mathematics have left an indelible mark.

Jai Singh, son of Ratika Singh (NRI)

This library was established with the support of Jai Singh, son of Ratika Singh (NRI), who believes that this will serve as a hub for learning, providing access to a diverse collection of books, educational resources, and technology to residents of the Bazardihva village.

“We are excited to announce the launch of the Village Library Initiative, a tribute to the extraordinary legacy of Padma Shri Vashishth Narayan. These libraries will serve as repositories of knowledge and as community spaces where individuals can come together to learn, share ideas, and inspire one another,” said Mani Raj Singh, Operation Manager of NOBA GSR.

Anju Singh, Utkarsh, Rishabh, and Altamas, along with Local community leaders and dignitaries, joined the inauguration ceremony, expressing their gratitude for NOBA GSR’s efforts to enhance educational opportunities in their village.

NOBA GSR encourages individuals and organisations to support the Village Library Initiative and contribute to the noble cause of promoting education and literacy in rural areas.
