Ranchi, Jan. 4: The country will get a glimpse of world class quality Tasar silk industry of Dumka-Godda on the Republic Day parade this year.
Tableaux of 16 states and Union Territories, including Jharkhand, have been selected in the national programme organized in Delhi on Republic Day this year. Jharkhand has also made preparations for the national programme to be held on Republic Day.
This year, a tableau related to the production of world-class quality silk produced in Dumka-Godda will be displayed in the tableau of Jharkhand.
Notably, the tableau of Deoghar was displayed on the occasion of the 2023 Delhi Republic Day Parade.
Draft of tableaux
Notably, the Central Government had asked for the draft of tableaux from all the states and union territories. After various stages of the selection process, tableaux of only 16 states and union territories were selected for display in the national program organised in Delhi. The officials appreciated the draft of Jharkhand’s tableau in the selection process. The tableaux of all the selected states are to be prepared in New Delhi by January 19, and their rehearsal with full costumes is also to be done on January 23.
