Ranchi, January 12: Remuneration to need-based teachers (ghanti aadharit) in the universities has been hiked to Rs 57,700 per month, while for the same in polytechnic institutes, it is pegged at Rs 56,100.

Releasing his department’s achievements, Higher Education Secretary Rahul Kumar Purwar said a total of 2404 vacant assistant teacher posts in 8 universities have been sent to the JPSC for initiation of the recruitment.

The Secretary said that the higher education department has decided to introduce JET (Jharkhand eligibility test) to recruit teachers at the assistant professor level.
