Jamshedpur, Jan 30: If the predictions of IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre is any indication, most places across Jharkhand are expected to witness at least a three-degree rise in minimum temperature during the next two days.

The minimum temperature already started witnessing a rise since yesterday.

Today Ranchi recorded a minimum temperature of 11.4 degrees Celsius while Jamshedpur recorded a minimum temperature of 13.8 degrees Celsius.

Daltonganj today recorded a minimum temperature of 10.3 degrees Celsius while Bokaro recorded a minimum temperature of 9.2 degrees Celsius.

Chaibasa in West Singhbhum district today recorded a minimum temperature of 12.4 degrees Celsius.

The cyclonic circulation over northwest Rajasthan and adjoining Punjab and Haryana extending up to 0.9 km above mean sea level persists.

Jet stream winds of the order of 120-140 knots at 12.6 km above mean sea level continues to prevail over northern India.

A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect Northwest India from today and another from February 3.

Dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24 hours.

Shallow fog was observed at isolated places over southern parts of the state.

The highest maximum temperature of 28.4°C was recorded at Chaibasa while the lowest minimum temperature of 7.3°C was recorded at Garhwa.

The Ranchi Met Centre already predicted the possibility of light rainfall in southern, central and some parts of northern Jharkhand in the next two days, due to the impact of the Western Disturbance.
